Hello one an all :)

First of all, welcome to all the new fellas now on the Chiddingfold FC mailing list, courtesy of Paul Miller. If there are any I have made a mistake with, please let me know and I will beat the secretary within an inch of his life. Self flaguration,,, don't you just love it!

It's a busy weekend once again for Chidd FC, competing on a number of levels.

UNDER 15's
I'm not sure whether the Under 15's have a game Saturday a.m. or not. Perhaps someone who knows what is going on in that department can let me know, or better still supply me with a Fixture List which I can then in turn pin up on the website. I could also do with a bit of news as to how they are getting on. So please, don't be shy. Drop me a line or two:)

FIRSTS
Saturday afternoon sees the Firsts in action at home on the Coxcombe Lane pitch. They meet Tongham F.C. in Round 2 of the Surrey County Intermediate Cup having beaten Liphook in a real battle to the wire in Round 1 on penalties. Action of one kind or another is guaranteed so if you are not doing anything Saturday, go along and holler the team along. I believe kick-off is 2p.m. but I have not had that quantified as of this moment.

RESERVES
Also on Saturday afternoon, playing away at Whiteley Village, our Reserves team take on Elm Grove. If you didn't know it, our Reserves have not won a match this season yet but god knows, it isn't for the lack of trying. On more than one occasion we have comments from opposition and refs saying they can't believe we lost. But thats football. The Reserves keep knuckling down each week with whoever is put in front of them and give their all for Chiddingfold FC. This week we have a number of changes as pleasingly we have lost a few of the players to make an appearance in the Firsts. We are sad to loose them on one hand but it is also great to see them progress up a level. Lets hope they put in a stirling performance and make a difference.

Reserves to meet at 12.00 Noon at Coxcombe Lane. Chiddingfold Kick-off at 2.00pm

As always, please let me know your availability or not, as the case may be at the earliest. I know I pester each week but late replies make it very difficult to organise around, especially if you can't make it. That means I then have to charge around to find other fellow team mates to fill in the holes and more than once, I have asked players to step in who could of made it had they known earlier. This is not fair on them and it is not fair on your team mates. So,, once again EARLY REPLIES PLEASE!!

CLUB MEMBERSHIPS
Whilst on about selections. Please note that some of you haven't paid your Membership Subs. We have a Secretary who lives under a stone,, a thawrty type of character who isn't best pleased when others show a degree of tardiness about being proficient  on paying their Subs. Then there is the club Treasurer. I'm not sure how many of you know our Treasurer but he is a giant of a man and an outright thug,,, Billy Butt-Head sorta guy. He likes his books kept straight and neat and woe betide anyone who creates a hole in the budget. Him and his mate, 'Blades', are not adverse to making  a visit to non-payers. You have been warned. And if that hasn't persuaded you to make good your dues, the team managers know who has and hasn't paid.... it can affect our judgement on who to pick each week as your subs go towards paying for our end of season jolly in the Maldives! Get the drift?

SUNDAY ACADEMY and UNDER 14'S
Right, on to Sunday. Following last weeks successful first Sunday Academy match we will once again be playing this Sunday at 10.00am.. However, the Under 14's (Russell Spicer's bunch of hoodies) have a league game at 11.00am. Therefore, the Sunday Academy match will be played up on the top pitch in Combe Lane. The changing rooms at Coxcombe Lane will be open at 9.15 with team kits provided as last week. Once changed, we will put our kit in the Meeting Room in the pavilion so that the Under 14's may use the changing rooms for their games. Once we have finished, we will return and have to change as and where we can so as not to interfere with the Under 14's changing rooms. My apologies about this. It will happen occasionally though fortunately only about 5 more times between now and the end of Feb when the Under 14's have a home match. The only alternative is to move our kick-off time to say 2-00pm in the afternoon when the under 14's are playing at home. Your comments welcome on what you'd prefer.

Sheesh! Right, thats about it for this week. Please remember to check out the website for updates, info and news.

Best regards to all and hope to see most of you at one point or another over this weekend.
